Tire Time

(3 posts)
  1. Time to replace tires. I'm thinking of going with the Michelin Pilot Power in the original 170/60 17 size OR the Pilot Power 2CT in 180/55 17. Do any of you have experience with either of these or another recommendation?

    Thanks!

  3. its hard if you do it with the dual brake rotors on still. I did it that way and was able to do it. I have the HarborFreight tool also. I have both the top and bottom piece. On sale, which is often you can get it for $79 bucks, both pieces.... For me the rotors were in the way, so it makes it a lot harder but its doable. Make sure you get it in the right direction also. I messed up the first time and had to remove it again. I put a piece of carpet rug down so I would not scratch the rotors and on the back to not scratch the belt pulley.....

I change them on our motocross bikes weekly, but the road bikes are stiffer. If you don't have stem snake, get one at harbor freight also. Worth the 3 or 4 dollars....
