Today is April Fools Day in the U.S., but that doesn't mean that I'm joking when I tell you that I've just updated the blog page at www.mh900e.org.
I've updated the blog at www.mh900e.org with my latest exploits!
Good to see Avon rubber on the old Italian.
I've updated the blog at www.mh900e.org with the results of my first race of the season.
Avon rubber, indeed, Guiseppe. The old rubber sticks pretty well, too!
Once again, I've updated the Blog at www.mh900e.org. This time it's a quick set of instructions on how to get rid of that bothersome autoretract feature on your sidestand with a few pretty pictures!
It's been a little while, but I've updated the blog. Notice there's a solicitation there for content...so if anybody has a neat story to tell, please don't be shy.
Once again, the blog has been updated at www.mh900e.org. The new update includes MHe video for those who didn't catch the thread.
Thanks for going those extra miles, 0771 approves !!
My 11-year young girl is tasked with recording and calculating our family vehicle's fuel consumption, and made a curious observation after we viewed recent Isle of Mann coverage/documentary. You see, i explained to her that dad's "pretty red bike" is a tribute to Mike Hailwood for his exploits around that circuit. Of course, she and her sister helped me install the larger fuel tank with battery relocation (thanks CaCycleworks), and heard me complain about the small original tank. Yesterday she gave me a piece of paper explaining to me that the MH900e original fuel tank is sized to allow full warm-up and one fast lap...it's not small it's just right, and only further adds tribute to Mike the Bike! Kinda made me blush, at both her and Ducati's completeness.
Sounds like a sharp one. Be careful...next she'll have logic as to why you should go into hock to buy her a Ferrari as her first car. Only five more years...... 8)
Now you're giving Ducati too much credit, 771. I'm not disputing that the fuel capacity on our MHe's allows for warm-up and exactly one spirited lap of the Isle of Man, but that's sheer coincidence. Truth is, Ducati had a non-running show bike in '99 and after the overwhelming positive reactions, they decided to build the MHe. Fuel-tank, mirrors and a few other items were after-thoughts; they needed the airbox in combination with EFI to fit under the body, hence the small tank. And you may have discovered how useless the mirrors are. Pretty, but useless. The showbike had a rear-looking camera, but this was too expensive for the production model.
Hat of to your girl, though. Sharp cookie.
Thanks for the compliment, sincerely.
I showed her your post #225, and all she said (and i'll quote) was:
"... his argument supporting coincidence is not compelling."
Then flipped her ponytail and left the room, muttering: "...this ain't over..."
Yikes. What do you bet she contacts Pierre?!
