Fuel filter would have been my first guess, Brett. Kinked fuel line? Plunger in one of the quick disconnects got some trash in it?
Have you checked the fuel vent line to make sure it's not clogged? I'm not sure how much effect it has on fuel injected bikes, but it can really foul up bikes with carbs. I'll be the first to admit I'm no wizard with these fancy, new electronic bikes. 8)
At 5k, does it drop one cylinder or both? One might make me think bad coil or trigger. I've had some older Ducatis do this in the past.
Anybody else have any ideas for Brett?
BTW, Brett, what unit do you ride and where do you live? Just curious.
