  1. Bought the billet turn indicators from Ducati Saarland, extremely sexy. Installed them, pretty straight forward job. Now the strange part: when the turn signal is switched on, either right or left, all four indicators blink?????? I never touched the switch wiring. Any ideas?

    Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris, funny you should say that,i had exactly the same problem... it took me ages to sort it, i thought it was the relay,it wasnt... It turned out because their metal and they earth out on rear x bracket,so need to make sure wires are wired up correctly... I know your'll say i changed them one at a time wire for wire. Yer we can all do that even a child can do. But i found one of my wires the front right that had been wired wrong by ducati on the loom. I think red/yellow wires and yellow/red spring to mind... So i wired them up one by one . and then another ,then unplugged the first one and wired them up alternatly. And bloody finnally i found one that was not flashing right...A nightmare, but works now, dont worry about blowing the 7.5 fuse just have a few spare while you setting it up... Good luck, and yes they do look good...Watch the front ones though, because as they are a lot stronger than the plastic stock items, meaning that if you clip them ,they wont break, but will break the fairing first, ouchhhh.... All the best and safe riding, Shaun

  3. I had similar problem and concern. Fitted thin strips of plastic cut to hide under mounting flange, and used nylon bolts to eliminate ground short. Also, front fairing vulnerability is lessened with these sacrificial nylon bolts.

  4. Success! My problem turned out to be different than Shauns but his explanation lead me in the right direction. It turned out that all four of the leads to the original signals were wired backwards. No big deal when your signals are plastic. I was able to modify the plugs with an exacto knife to hook the positive to positive and negative to negative. Instant gratification and a clean factory looking install. Thanks for your help Shaun.

I also thought I'd mention my experience purchasing the turn indicators from Ducati Saarland. I'm sure for some of you guys that live in the outer rim, buying stuff from overseas is just part of daily life, but here in the states we are pretty spoiled and have access to almost everything. Except parts for our MH. My transaction with Gustav at Ducati Saarland was simple, honest and speedy. I had the blinkers in hand in about two weeks. I would highly recommend them as a resource for the ever diminishing hoard of cool parts we need for our bikes.
